How often does my horse or pony need dental check-ups?

Like us, horses require a dental check-up every at least every 12 months, especially as problems in your horse’s mouth are very rarely evident from the outside and horses will continue to perform despite severe intraoral problems.

Experience shows us that all horses are different and what owners do with their horses differs more so than the type of horses they own.

After the first visit, we will recommend a dental maintenance plan of either 6, 9 or 12 monthly check-ups dependant on your horse’s age and dental condition.
